An Official Program T-Shirt and League Uniform Each participant will receive an official branded program t-shirt for the Drills and Skills sessions and a league uniform for the league games. Our custom uniforms are unique and stylish for today’s urban youth. The uniforms foster team pride and unity while ensuring all players look like true athletes on a professional team.

Drills and Skills
Our sessions are designed to
build foundational basketball abilities including: dribbling, passing, shooting, hand and eye coordination, defense, footwork, and confidence. These sessions are age-appropriate and led by experienced coaches and trainers who emphasize fun, growth, and skill development.

League Play Experience
Participants will compete in organized league games
against their peers that
emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and applying
skills in real-game scenarios.
This structured play gives
youth real-time gameplay,
team dynamics, and the thrill of basketball in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

Practice Sessions
Weekly practice sessions provide opportunities to reinforce skills, build discipline, teamwork, and a strategic understanding of the game. Coaches focus on both individual and team development, ensuring players of all levels grow throughout the season.

Mentorship
Mentorship
Beyond the court, some
players are paired with coaches, volunteers, or former athletes
who provide encouragement, guidance, and life lessons to inspire youth both in sports and in daily life. These role models help youth build confidence, set goals, and make positive life choices, both in sports and in their communities.

Guest Speakers
Inspirational guest speakers visit the program and share their stories and life lessons. The speakers include NBNB alumni, coaches, elected officials, community leaders, and reformed youth and adults who have history with the criminal justice system. These sessions aim to motivate participants and expand their understanding of opportunities
in sports and beyond.

Networking and New Friendships
This program is more than basketball—it’s a chance to
meet new people, make lasting friendships, and connect with peers who share similar interests. The program fosters meaningful connections among players, families, and staff—encouraging kids grow socially and emotionally.

Food & Drinks
Water, Gatorade, and a light
lunch (sandwich & fruit) are provided after each session to ensure players stay fueled and hydrated after an outdoor session in the summer heat.

Community Resources
Upon request, our team
connects participants with local community resources for academic support, mental health services, family assistance, and other youth enrichment programs to ensure every child can thrive.

Back to School Backpacks
Every participant leaves the program prepared for the
school year with a NBNB
branded backpack and Staples
gift card for school supplies—because success in the classroom matters!

Professional Photos
Each player will have the option
to purchase high-quality action photos taken during games and team portraits taken by our professional photographer. The pictures are perfect keepsakes for families and a way to celebrate participation and progress.
