Fall/Winter League
Our annual indoor basketball program provides the following
benefits to our student athletes:
Official League Gear
Every participant will receive an official NBNB program t-shirt for the drills and skills sessions, and a uniform for the league games.
Our custom designed t-shirts and uniforms are stylish, unique, and created with today’s urban youth in mind. Players proudly wear the NBNB logo as a symbol of teamwork and pride both on and off the court.
Guest Speakers
NBNB attracts local membership organizations, elected officials, community leaders, and hometown celebrities who speak to the participants and share words
of wisdom and encouragement to navigate life’s challenges.
We are especially grateful
to all NBNB alumni who
visit and share their accomplishments on and
off the court.
Drills and Skills
Our sessions provide the participants with instruction on dribbling, passing, shooting, defensive footwork, hand-eye coordination, and the overall fundamentals of basketball.
Sessions are age-appropriate and led by experienced instructors who are former high school, collegiate, and professional players.
Mentorship
Beyond the court,some participants are paired
with coaches, volunteers,
or former athletes who provide encouragement
and guidance regarding
their basketball skills, academics, and how
to make good choices
in life.
Practice Sessions
Additional practice sessions are sometimes offered in smaller groups to give participants an opportunity
to review drills and
boost their skills and confidence.
Referrals to
Community Resources
Upon request, our team will connect families to local community resources that provide academic support and/or mental health services to help every child succeed both on and off the court.
New Friendships
NBNB encourages meaningful relationships among participants and their families while they grow socially and emotionally both on and off the court.
This program is more than basketball...it is an opportunity to build lasting friendships.

Each player will have
the opportunity to take
high-quality, individual
and team photos which
are perfect keepsakes for families and friends.

Reading Program
Encouraging literacy is part
of our mission. Participants are required to participate in the reading component. Our curriculum includes: required time on IXL (a self-paced reading app) weekly book reports for homework, and the challenge of reading out loud in front of their team mates during the 45 min sessions.
Awards
During the Playoffs,
every participant will
be recognized with a
trophy to celebrate their participation, sportsmanship, and commitment to the program.
League Play Experience
Participants will compete
in games against their peers. As a result, they learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, team dynamics, and the
thrill of basketball in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.
Holiday Giveaway
We offer an annual turkey giveaway during the holiday season to support our participants, their families, and people in need from the community.
