Our Impact

The No Books No Ball (NBNB) Youth Basketball Program is more than a sports league—it's a transformative force in the lives of young people across our community.

Our program serves over 1,000 youth and families annually through our indoor Fall/Winter league which serves 300 youth; our outdoor Summer league which averages 450 youth; and finally, an additional 300-500 individuals and families though our Annual Turkey Drive and other community service initiatives.

Our players represent the rich ethnic diversity found across Boston. We proudly serve young people who identify as  African American; Haitian, Dominican; Cape Verdean; Irish, East African, East Indian, Chinese, and Multi-Racial. Some reside in neighborhoods that often face socioeconomic challenges and limited access to extracurricular activities. Many of our participants are the first in their families to attend a private high school and the first in their families to attend a college or university.

From the basketball court to the classroom, NBNB is not just building better athletes—we are building brighter futures, stronger communities, and a generation of young people who believe in their own potential.  We foster academic achievement, personal growth, and life-long discipline through the game of basketball.
